Coaching in both a sporting or business or even life context involves enhancing performance by removing the impediments or the interference that restrict potential.
As a performance coach I engage, usually one-on-one, to accompany a client in building awareness and responsibility when developing their leadership. Dealing with real-life scenarios, we discuss and process goals, realities, options and the actions to be taken.
The coach does not have the answers but has the questions and the skills to unlock the potential of their coachee and accompany them towards a new and immensely satisfying and rewarding level of performance.
I advise companies on defining, designing and realising a communications strategy. This can be internal or external communication and increasingly includes web and social media.
Many subject experts need to acquire delivery skills to teach or train. They require un understanding of adult learning techniques and then practical tools and practice to transfer their knowledge.
I also write and edit reports and technical documents which often have to be produced quickly and then translated for publication. This work can involve taking part in international meetings or working closely with technical teams on company documents, manuals or business correspondence.
I train adults who need to facilitate meetings or deliver training. I also facilitate work groups, teams and any group interesting in reaching consensus through participation and creativity – the route to ownership.
I train people to write more efficiently and more effectively. Reports, technical documents, policy briefs and manuals all require careful planning and clear organisation.
I spend much of my time listening to boring presentations from interesting people on fascinating subjects.Together we can change this. Continue reading
